MEET MEGAN

I'm a proud daughter of Wicomico County. I grew up spending summers with my grandfather on the Wicomico River and going on bike rides to find honeysuckles in Fruitland. Wicomico is the place that raised me and the place I feel called to give back to.

I graduated from Parkside High School before earning my degree in Communications with a minor in Political Science from Salisbury University. I am currently pursuing my M.B.A. to continue strengthening my skills to serve this community.

For me, leadership is not a title; it's continuously showing up for your community again and again. It's about neighborhood cleanups, volunteer drives, working together to find solutions - building community. It’s about listening to neighbors, mentoring young leaders, and working alongside families who want the same thing I do: a safe, thriving Wicomico County where opportunity is within reach.

After graduating from Salisbury University, I wanted to build a better future for my community. I joined the Salisbury Sustainability Team and helped advocate for the City’s plastic bag ban. Together, we saw that local voices can create meaningful change, and that deepened my love for this community and civic work.

In 2023, I was appointed to serve on the Salisbury City Council, where I had the honor of representing the residents of District 3. There, I worked hand-in-hand with our neighbors to deliver community-driven results for Salisbury. And that work didn't end when I left the city council, I continued to drive conversations and change here in Wicomico.

Today, I serve as Chair of the Wicomico County Commission for Women, where I work to support programs and policies that uplift women and families. I’m also a proud and active member of the Salisbury Jaycees, the Wicomico Friends of the Library Foundation, Kind SBY, and Blending Cultures Society — organizations that reflect the heart, culture, and compassion of our community.

Wicomico County isn’t just where I live. It’s who I am. I believe that if we want to see positive change in our community, we have to be willing to step up and be good shepherds of it, and I try to show that in everything I do.

When you support me, you’re supporting someone who has grown up in our schools, served in our organizations, worked alongside our neighbors, and invested years into making this community stronger long before ever asking for your vote. I’m not running because it’s politically convenient. I’m running because this is home.
